Art and listening for well-being
Programs for children, adolescents, and adults
Art therapy is a path of help and support for the person and is based on a type of non-verbal mediation using artistic materials and the creative process in the relationship between art therapist and user. It is a therapy of prevention, care and support, which leads to clarifying personal emotional states, which in particular situations can also be pathological; in fact, undertaking a path of this type can be a valid tool to deal with situations of physical or mental
discomfort, relational problems, moments of change, loss or more simply to strengthen
self-esteem, increase awareness and sensitivity towards oneself and others, thus improving
one’s individual well-being and regaining self-confidence.

Creativity as a tool for healing and awareness
What is the purpose of the creative laboratory?
The purpose of the creative laboratory isn’t the quality of the artistic product, nor even that of discovering talents or aiming at the exhibition of the works, but to get closer to the inner experience that this product facilitates. The art therapist accompanies the user on this path, acting as an indispensable support, equipped with psychological and artistic skills. The specialist takes care of the person through images, creativity and the imagination expressed by the user to facilitate him in the expression of his inner world.
How does an art therapy program work?
After building a relationship of trust, the art therapist directs each individual program towards individual objectives, which the professional identifies through constant work outside the studio. In fact, between one meeting and the next, he collects what the user expresses and carries out a detailed analysis through the decoding of visual art, with the aim of promoting artistic production, conveying thoughts and emotions so that they become communicable symbols.
With the support of the art therapist, each person is guided to understand their artistic experience and give it meaning.

Emotional well-being through creative expression
The benefits of the creative laboratory
The creative laboratory offers numerous benefits, including:
- self-recognition and rediscovery of each person’s identity: it allows the subject to explore their inner self and rediscover a momentarily lost identity.
- Self-understanding: it facilitates a process of deeper self-understanding, allowing the
subject to observe their emotions and sensations from an external perspective. - Social relationships: it can help improve social relationships, facilitating communication and mutual understanding.
- Reduction of stress, anxiety and depression.
- Strengthening self-esteem: it can help improve self-image and relationships with
others. - Development of individual potential, stimulating creativity and self-expression.
Art as a tool for care and support
Areas of intervention
Art therapy is aimed at everyone, it is not limited to the treatment of people with physical or mental pathologies and does not require particular talents or abilities. Art becomes the perfect ally for our health and our psychophysical well-being. However, there are some specific areas of intervention in which the effectiveness of this activity has been proven:
- difficulties in the school environment;
- difficulties in the family environment;
- relational difficulties;
- problems related to communication and interaction;
- attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders;
- emotional crises or distress;
- low self-esteem;
- disabilities;
- addictions;
- eating disorders;
- senile dementia.

Giving shape to emotions through art
How does the creative workshop in Lugano work?
Art therapy takes place in an atelier, a place where you can freely express yourself, and provides dry materials (markers, pastels, etc.), wet materials (tempera, watercolors, etc.), plastic materials (recycled materials, clay, plasticine, etc.), new media (collage magazines, digital materials, etc.). Since it is the art of narration, each person who undertakes this path will find their favorite way to express themselves artistically, giving life to images and
connecting their creations to their personal experience.
The user therefore has the opportunity to experiment with all the materials available, so that they become the language through which each person can communicate their emotional, physical, relational, social and psychological state.
Artistic language becomes a way to talk about oneself and discover new resources, encouraging the development of creativity.

What Our Patients Say
Patient Reviews
I’m currently undergoing physiotherapy sessions at this clinic with Lorenzo to treat neck pain, and I’m very satisfied. Lorenzo stands out for his professionalism, competence, and attention, creating a personalized and effective therapy plan. The environment is welcoming, well-maintained, and well-organized. I highly recommend this center.
Consigliatissimo 😊
