Occupational Therapy and Well-Being in Daily Life: A Personalized and Dignified Path

I graduated in Occupational Therapy in November 2024 at the University of Milan. After graduation, I chose to work in the neuro-geriatric field, focusing mainly on home-based treatments for elderly people with cognitive decline.

Every person, not just the condition

In my work, I always start from a fundamental principle: treating the person, not the condition. Each intervention is tailor-made, taking into account the living environment, habits, and goals that are truly meaningful for the patient. The aim is to preserve residual autonomy and improve well-being in daily life, accompanying each individual on a respectful, empathetic, and practical path.

Mobility aids: tools of freedom

During my university studies, I developed a particular interest in assistive devices, with a focus on mobility aids. I continue to train in this area because I am convinced that the right aid, introduced at the right time, can truly make a difference: improving independence, preventing the abandonment of meaningful activities, and restoring dignity in everyday actions.

Teamwork: the value of collaboration

I deeply believe in teamwork. I collaborate with physiotherapists and orthopedic technicians, especially in the assessment and provision of aids, to ensure solutions that are truly effective and tailored. The interaction between different professional skills is what makes it possible to offer a complete, integrated intervention focused on the personโ€™s needs.
