the benefits of a correct diet
First nutritional visit
The first nutritional visit is a key moment to understand your state of health, assess your
current eating habits and define a customised path based on concrete and sustainable
goals.
Not a diet, but a new lifestyle
Often the word “diet” is associated with giving up, starvation and restrictions. In reality, its
original meaning -from the Greek “dìaita”, meaning “lifestyle”- tells a different story.
A correct diet is not a punishment, but a tool for feeling better every day, with more energy,
lightness and awareness.
What to expect from the first visit
During the first consultation, the nutritionist:
- collects information about your health status, lifestyle and daily routine;
- analyses your relationship with food, your needs and preferences;
- assesses your body parameters (weight, height, circumference, any clinical
examinations); - defines a personalised diet plan, which takes into account your rhythms,
commitments and goals (whether general wellbeing, slimming, sports support or
disease management).
The diet plan is built together, with a practical and sustainable approach: no rigid tables, but a strategy that really fits into your daily routine.
Why rely on a nutritionist?
- Because improvising does not work: relying on diets found online or following fads can create imbalance and frustration.
- Because a structured path helps you understand how to eat better, without feeling guilty.
- Because a professional guides you through change with expertise, empathy and motivation.
Nutritional consultations in Ticino
How the first nutritional consultation works
The first nutritional consultation lasts about 60 minutes and is a key step to gather all the necessary information for creating a personalized nutrition plan.
1. Initial medical history
During the consultation, the nutritionist carries out a complete anamnesis, investigating:
- possible food intolerances or allergies;
- presence of medical conditions (particularly related to the digestive system);
- hormonal status and vital functions, such as menstrual cycle, menopause, andropause, sleep quality;
- medications taken regularly;
- level of physical activity and lifestyle (schedule, habits, stress, etc.).
This stage is also the time to share your food preferences, difficulties, and habits — without judgment. Open dialogue is essential to build a truly effective strategy.
2. Measurements and body composition assessment
Objective and repeatable measurements are taken to evaluate:
- weight and height;
- body circumferences (waist, hips, thighs…);
- skinfold thickness (if necessary);
- body composition analysis with bioimpedance (lean mass, fat mass, hydration).
These data are essential to scientifically and personally monitor progress over time.
What are the guidelines for the first consultation?
To obtain an accurate measurement with bioimpedance analysis, it is important to:
- fast for at least 3 hours;
- avoid alcohol and coffee in the hours before the test;
- bring your most recent blood test results, if available.

We help you feel better
Our goal
Our goal is to achieve a 360-degree improvement of the person. A diet is not just a sheet of paper with restrictive instructions and deprivations, but a nutritional strategy to improve one’s relationship with food and, as a result, also enhance the body physically. The final outcome therefore does not depend only on objective results such as weight or body composition, but above all on the improvement of lifestyle and the relationship with nutrition, physical activity, and overall health.
